The Role
As Material Planning Manager you will own end-to-end material availability for a full aircraft platform or major subsystem, ensuring engineering changes, production ramp-ups and supplier constraints stay perfectly aligned. Based in South San Francisco; 30-50 % travel to critical suppliers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Translate production schedules into supplier requirements and inventory strategies
• Maintain accurate BOMs, lead-times and planning parameters in MRP/ERP
• Drive engineering-change integration with minimal supply disruption
• Perform deep-dive analytics to improve forecast accuracy and reduce shortages/excess
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Sourcing, NPI and Manufacturing

Requirements

• 5+ years in material/supply planning or technical program management for complex, fast-scaling products (aerospace, robotics, automotive preferred)
• Expert-level experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar MRP/ERP
• Proven track record scaling from prototype through high-volume production
• Strong data analytics and problem-solving skills (Excel/SQL/statistics)
• Willingness to travel 30-50 %
